Why a donate button?

First of all we don’t want anyone to feel any pressure to donate.  Donations are if You feel like helping out and only if you can obviously.  

A little about the music biz these days:

Those of you who know us know that for a good amount of years we supported ourselves playing music.  It was a wonderful time in both our lives but they were different times back then.  Back then you could make a living selling CDs and playing gigs.  Then came iTunes, then came Spotify these services are devastating to musicians.  Selling CDs back then a artist could make $7 for a $10 sale. Then with iTunes you were lucky to make $3 for a $10 sale.  With Spotify we made literally nothing.  .0006 cents per download. So the opportunities for a musician to make a living or even break even on an album are not great.  

So the donate button is a way for us to try to break even. Of course it also helps if you purchase our album here on our site.  

So.. if you can great! If you can’t that’s okay too. We love you just the same.  And we will continue to write and record songs as long as we’re physically able because it’s what we love!
